Baseline Emissions Footprint
Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.

This is the first time that Bright Cloud Ltd are reporting its carbon emissions and is the Baseline Year. Baseline Emission calculations have been taken from 1st January 2022 through to 31st December 2022 and include Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 Emissions.

Emissions reduction targets
As this this is the first year of reporting Carbon Emissions, Bright Cloud Limited do not have any previous reduction targets in place, however in order to deliver on achieving Net Zero emissions we have adopted the following carbon reduction targets. We project that carbon emissions will decrease over the next five years to 343.29 tCO2e by 2027. This is a reduction of 30% Progress against these targets can be seen in the graph here.
Carbon Reduction Projects
As this is the first time Bright Cloud Ltd is implementing it’s strategy to reach Net Zero Carbon Emissions, it has not yet undertaken any Carbon Reduction Projects.
In future, these are the Carbon Reduction projects Bright Cloud are implementing:
– Achieve ISO 14001 accreditation
– Continue to support Working from home to minimise Employee commuting
– Implement a strategy to reduce business travel, enabling virtual meetings through accessible technologies
– Support and Incentivise Employees in the purchase of cleaner Electric Vehicles
– Switch to Renewable energy and choose suppliers that are committed to Net Zero emissions and using renewable energy sources
Declaration and Sign Off
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and associated guidance and reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans.
Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard and uses the appropriate Government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting.

Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been reported in accordance with SECR requirements, and the required subset of Scope 3 emissions have been reported in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard.

This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and signed off by the board of directors (or equivalent management body).
